Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist with strong knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically eClinicalWorks, and expertise in medical billing for primary care, dental, and anesthesia services. The ideal candidate will ensure timely and accurate claim submission, payment posting, and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage billing operations for Primary Care, Dental, and Anesthesia services.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR for charge entry, claim submission, and payment reconciliation.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services.
- Submit claims to insurance carriers and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Post payments and reconcile patient accounts accurately.
- Handle patient billing inquiries and provide clear communication regarding balances.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable billing regulations.
- Generate and review reports to monitor billing performance and revenue cycle metrics.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in a multi-specialty setting.
- Proficiency in eClinicalWorks EMR and medical billing software.
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and ADA coding standards.
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines for primary care, dental, and anesthesia.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
- Familiarity with dental-specific billing codes and anesthesia billing requirements.
