Heart Vascular Associates of Tampa Bay is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will provide medical services to patients under the guidance of a physician.

This vital role greets our patients, displays professionalism, and maintains confidentiality at all times. The medical assistant should be familiar with cardiology practice.

What You’ll Do
Patient Care & Clinical Support
Welcome and prepare patients for visits while ensuring a warm, professional experience
Verify medical histories, update chart notes, and assist with preliminary assessments
Support physicians by preparing patients for exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing
Perform clinical tasks such as injections, immunizations, wound care, and infection management
Assist with care plans and patient education, including lifestyle, diet, and health maintenance guidance
Practice Operations
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage messages with professionalism
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold strict confidentiality standards
Serve as a reliable support to the physician during urgent or complex situations
Demonstrate sound judgment in determining when to consult supervising providers
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or related clinical training program
Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient‑focused demeanor
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt quickly in a busy clinical setting
Previous clinical or cardiology experience is a plus
Compensation
$16–$20 per hour, based on experience.
